  • Explore evidence related to child sexual abuse, including statistics, characteristics, grooming tactics and impacts.

  • Understand features of disclosing of abuse and the importance of recognising behavioural indicators and improve responses and build practitioners’ capacity to support their clients.

  • Establish skills to provide protective behaviour and trauma informed responses to foster safer environments and empower children to speak up.

  • Develop a response plan that is specific to their client group and environment, including providing initial responses and supporting families and stakeholders.
