This workshop will provide practitioners the opportunity to:
Explore evidence related to child sexual abuse, including statistics, characteristics, grooming tactics and impact.
Understand features of disclosing of abuse and the importance of recognising behavioural indicators and improve responses and build practitioners’ capacity to support their clients.
Identify responses such as protective behaviours and trauma focused responses to foster safer environments and empowering children to speak up.
Develop a response plan that is specific to their client group and environment, including providing initial responses and supporting families and stakeholders.
